Tauranga Airport

Tauranga Airport is the 5th busiest controlled airport in the country air traffic wise.

In 2011 there were 72,000 air movements with 245,000 passengers passing through the terminal.

The main runway was extended to 1825m long in 1998 and is capable of handling up to, and including, Boeing 737-800 and Airbus 320 aircraft.

There are no plans for Tauranga to become an international airport.

The airport is a 24 hour, seven day a week operation. Airport Operations
